Antonio Marras top, Mango denim shorts, Jamin Puech clutch/purse, Topshop wooden platform wedges
Our favourite (former) OSB's birthday party was last night - barbecue, senior high schoolmates, catching up and the (comical) abuses/tricks/pranks on the poor birthday boy made for a hearty evening.
From the treasure trove of beautiful clothes and accessories Mother wants to get rid of, I dug out this wonderful top, which has a sleeveless top under, and two looser panels attached on top, with much lower armholes, forming pouches in front and behind - the effect is a piece of modern art... Mother wasn't very sure who the designer was, because she cuts the tags off most of her clothes - "Antonio something... from Club21." After some thinking, I came to the conclusion that it's an Antonio Marras piece - precise modern romance with a touch of ruggedness and unusual shape. Antonio Marras is currently creative director at Kenzo, and he has his own line that encapsulates modern structures combined with romantic fabrics, prints and embellishment. For a look at his collections, visit New York Magazine's Antonio Marras label page.
Also, I finally realised how elaborate and grown up this Jamin Puech purse can be - Mother's tried to lend it to me for certain events before, but this is the first time I've seen value in using it. It fits my massive Chloé wallet perfectly! And extra camera batteries and memory cards.
B & J came over after to watch a brainless chick flick, and sample the cakes I've baked over the past couple of days... black chocolate delight miniature cakes and mini Oreo cheesecakes, anyone? And of course, J had to have his customary glass of milk.
