Covent Garden notables.

Shh, I'm about to share one of my favourite London spots with you. Started up by New Zealanders Tubbs Wanigasekera and Matthew Clark, Sacred Cafe has a few locations across London, but this one tucked away in the back of the ground floor of Stanfords (where you can find a multitude of travel-related materials) is the coziest one. My favourite items on the menu include the daily selection of paninis - the bread they use is orgasmic - and the eggs on the blackboard menu. While my Kiwi friend Kaidy claims the coffee is the best you can find in London, I usually lean towards the teas, especially for a morning detox. Tea is served in the most adorable fairground-inspired pots!

Also, if you're ever in Covent Garden and craving sugary adorable cupcakes, head to Ella's Bakehouse (right opposite Ben's Cookies! Pick up a triple choc cookie for more decadence). The cake isn't too sweet, but skip the frosting if you don't want too much sugar. Must-tries are the lemon and poppyseed cupcake, and the red velvet. What I also love about Ella's Bakehouse is that they sell edible glitter! Perfect for sprinkling over homemade cupcakes :)
