ASOS maxi-dress, vintage belt, Mulberry Alexa bag, Marc by Marc Jacobs platform cork sandals

When the winter wind cuts across my face and through the thickest coat I can wear, I even yearn for the warm humid summer breeze back in Singapore. Halfway through another year in London and mid-year homesickness pangs have arrived.

But there's always a large ray of sunshine somewhere, and my sister's moved over to England too, so I'm never really quite alone (as evidenced by the weekend she spent here making my apartment seem much much smaller than it really is - once she'd gone back to her boarding school, our living room suddenly became a massive empty cove).

I'm still wondering how to winterize this ASOS dress - I loved the crazy bright blue with the pop of neon salmon orange in summer against all the foliage in the summer, but I'm wondering if bare branches will seem a little too stark with the dress... In Budapest, I slipped on leather Jack Purcells which went surprisingly well with the dress and presented a supremely comfortable outfit that was easy to maneuver in light of the Hungarian baths we visited that day.

Oh, and yes, the woman next to me in the second last photograph is my very stylish mother.

  1. You're so tall! (Or at least it looks like it.) That dress looks perfect on you, so pretty.

    1. I am actually incredibly short (5'2') - the Marc by Marc Jacobs cork wedges helped boost my height by at least 4 inches :D

      But thank you! <3 x
