Jack Wills Crownhurst dress, Stradivarius jacket, Miu Miu wristlet, Graceland pumps, Bimba & Lola cocktail rings
I know this blog's been a tumbleweed short playing over and over, but hello 2013! Time to start putting up all those looks that have been piling up in my hard drive.
New Year's was spent at the Mandarin Oriental in Barcelona, on the Passeig de Gràcia - the food in Barcelona was aplenty and delicious, the hotel soothing and Zen-like in its entirety with excellent service and the weather blissfully sunny and endurably cool. The rooftop of the hotel provided a lovely view of the city...
For a fresh start for a new year (and the hotel's New Year's Day brunch at the appropriately named BLANC), I wore winter whites in the form of a proper ladylike shift dress, nipped in at the waist and knee-length, with a light and loose structured jacket left over from my summer wardrobe that I've been keeping in rotation for winter layering.
Of course, keeping it all white would mean this year might end up quite dull, so these red heels added a splash of bright - and in Chinese culture, red is a lucky, lucky colour. The gold cocktail rings I picked up at bimba & lola, a popular Spanish brand that's making waves all around, also symbolises more good luck for the year ahead.
To anyone who reads this, I wish you and your family and friends a steady year ahead, filled with joy and improvements and love!
P.S. Thank you to Jack Wills and PeerIndex for the giftcard - I used it well on the Crownhurst dress!
